Professional Beauty

Professional Beauty is the
UK’s largest beauty and spa trade show and made its return to ExCeL London this
February. It was a great chance for the Arthur Edward team to spot the new
trends and products, sample existing products and see what’s new in all things
beauty. (It’s also a great opportunity to stock up all great deals for
Spring/Summer!)

In 2018, Professional
Beauty celebrated its 30th year and they brought over 800 brands and a packed
programme of training and education, making it a great place to keep up-to-date
with the beauty industry. There were showcases on the latest innovations in
skincare, nails, make-up, tanning, hair, waxing, equipment and machines.

As always, one of
the main benefits of attending an exhibition is that you can check out the
latest developments, get your hands on new products, compare prices and see
live demonstrations all under one roof!

It was a fantastic opportunity for
trend spotting, inspiration, networking and learning, with a whole bunch of
brands and newcomers presenting their innovations as well as industry
experts sharing their knowledge on the hottest industry topics.

We went along on the Monday to
visit the exhibition, which is also student day. It was great to see the
student’s who are passionate about what they are learning look through all the
stands and get excited about brands, products and the newest innovations.

There was a lot to see and we
spent hours looking at stands, talking to exhibitors and sampling products.

Some of the main things I learnt
were:

·Natural, vegan friendly
products are huge at the moment, with brands becoming more aware of the
consumers needs and desires for products that can both be incorporated in to
their beauty regimes and suitable for their vegan lifestyle.

·Lashes and Brows! These
are still a big thing, with many stands offering individual and strip lashes,
lash extensions, enhancements, lash lifts and treatments. And on the brow side,
there was everything from amazing brow pencils, HD brows and micro-blading.

·Aromatherapy and oils have
long been around, and oils and electric diffusers/mist humidifiers were a focus
on a lot of the aromatherapy stands. These are great products, where a few
drops of oil can last up to 6-8 hours in a diffuser, so it’s fantastic for
therapists, treatment rooms and for the home.

There were lots to see and sample
and we ensured we looked at brands and tested products. Many of the brands had
great offers on, so between us we purchased oils, skincare products, body
creams, teeth whitening, foundations, eyebrow pencils, lashes and tan! There
were also many demonstrations and we watched the therapists at work on the
latest introductions for facials, massages, lash/brow treatments, nail polish
and gels as well as full body makeup and tanning.

We came away impressed with the
vast array of brands showcasing their products, with bags bulging with goodies
and our hands and arms covered in everything from makeup to oils to tan!

Professional Beauty was held at
the London ExCel centre on February 25-26 2018.
