Are you a driven and creative Technical, Business Development or Vendor Manager, ready for a new challenge?
Do you enjoy developing clients and bringing in new business?
Working within the Sales Team of a leading distributor of cosmetic ingredients to the European beauty industry, you will maintain supplier and customer relationships, develop new business, and provide technical support.
This exciting opportunity comes with great potential for creativity, development, and learning. You will be supported by extensive product training, a fully-equipped lab, enthusiastic colleagues, and outside training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strong relationships with current and future principals
- Technical understanding of our supplier’s portfolio, and capabilities
- Understand ingredients, chemistry, benefits and formulations
- Understand needs of both suppliers and customers in UK and Europe
- Provide market feedback, sales forecasting, and analysis to suppliers to inform growth strategies
- Support sales team in managing supplier relationships and events
- Apply commercial awareness to help sales teams maximise opportunities
- Work with sales team to optimise product focus in target markets
- Help technical team formulate new personal care products showcasing ingredient benefits
- Clearly and concisely communicate scientific information
- Identify new business opportunities
- Attend industry events to expand personal care industry knowledge
The ideal candidate will have a scientific degree, ideally chemistry or cosmetic science, and the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
Experience selling raw materials to personal care companies is a strong advantage. A full UK driving license and willingness to travel is required.
