This is an excellent opportunity to join an established global cosmetics company that develops and manufactures its own products.

As the analytical coordinator for all R&D functions you will manage the cosmetic formulation stability testing processes.

With your demonstrable experience in a cosmetic or research environment, you will advance the R&D analytical capabilities, liaising with R&D laboratories and global manufacturing sites to create robust analytical & shelf-life solutions to support new product development.

You will work cross-functionally with other departments (industrialisation, microbiology, packaging,..) to ensure the formulations are tested according to correct protocols, review results and make recommendations. You will unpick and resolve formulation and scale-up issues of the cosmetic product portfolio, performing root cause investigations and implementing corrective/preventive actions as required.

As a technical leader in this field, you will develop and validate new analytical tools and protocols to support product innovation and identify cost-saving opportunities and quality improvements.

Using a wide variety of instruments and techniques (e.g.: Microscopy, Rheology, Texture Analyser, predictive stability, Differential scanning calorimetry, etc), you will perform regular testing and measurements across all types of raw materials and cosmetic products. You will act as an International Auditor and Trainer for physical characterization techniques and be responsible for managing a lab technician.

You must have a degree in Cosmetic Science, Engineering or a related discipline along with experience in physical analysis, stability and/or cosmetic formulation.
