Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the UK Analytical team, supporting and coordinating analytical activity across international locations.
- Analyse fragrance concentrates and market products using GC-MS technology.
- Conduct raw material and fragrance base analysis to support regulatory requirements.
- Expand and maintain fragrance and competitor product GC-MS libraries.
- Optimise analytical methodologies, extraction procedures and sample preparation techniques.
- Collaborate closely with Perfumers, Evaluators, Marketing and Sales teams on new product development and market trends.
- Support calibration, maintenance and performance of analytical equipment.
- Drive technical excellence, training and motivation across the analytical function.
Candidate Requirements:
- Degree or Master’s qualification in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
- Extensive hands-on experience in fragrance analysis within a fragrance house environment.
- Strong olfactory knowledge of natural and synthetic fragrance ingredients, with experience in fragrance duplication across fine fragrance, personal care and homecare categories.
- Previous leadership experience with excellent communication skills and proficiency in GC-MS systems and associated software.
