Key Responsibilities:
- Perform safety assessments of cosmetic ingredients and finished products
- Provide proactive safety guidance throughout the new product development process
- Review and approve raw materials against safety, policy and regulatory requirements
- Prepare Cosmetic Product Safety Reports in line with Product Information File requirements
- Carry out ingredient risk and exposure assessments, sourcing relevant toxicity data
- Review safety testing results across different cosmetic product types
- Support causality assessments relating to undesirable product effects
- Contribute to wider product safety initiatives and deliver tasks to agreed deadlines
Candidate Requirements:
- Degree in Toxicology, Pharmacology or another relevant scientific discipline
- Some experience interpreting toxicological data, preparing chemical profiles or conducting relevant scientific safety assessments
- Good knowledge of EU Cosmetics Regulation, cosmetic safety assessment and relevant guidance
- Excellent attention to detail, with strong organisational and communication skills
