An ambitious consumer brand is looking for an entrepreneurial Product Development & Innovation Manager to shape its future product pipeline.
In this hands-on, strategic role, you will solve complex challenges, explore new technologies and bring exciting products to life. Combining creativity with technical and commercial judgement, you will lead every stage of development while protecting the original product vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead physical product development from initial concept through to mass production
- Translate consumer needs and opportunities into clear briefs and technical specifications
- Assess feasibility and create development strategies that balance innovation, functionality and commercial viability
- Oversee design, engineering, prototypes, samples and product iterations through to approval
- Identify and manage manufacturers, engineering partners and specialist suppliers
- Control BOMs, target costs, MOQs, margins, timelines and the full development critical path
- Coordinate testing, quality assurance, compliance, regulatory and intellectual property requirements
- Scout emerging technologies, materials and manufacturing capabilities to inspire future innovation
Candidate Requirements:
- Extensive experience developing innovative physical consumer products from concept to manufacture
- Strong knowledge of product design, engineering, materials, tooling and manufacturing processes
- Commercial understanding of BOMs, target costing, MOQs and margin requirements
- Curious and solution-orientated, with excellent project leadership, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
