How to: Master a Low Maintenance Style
Step 1: Apply Sea Salt Spray – The E-Tautz London Men’s Collection Spring/Summer 2018 show was inspired by natural hair. Philip Haug, International Artistic Director for Toni & Guy and Lable.M, says the first step is to apply sea salt spray because it won’t make the hair look too done. Fudge Urban Sea Salt has a mineral-rich formula for flexible texture.
Step 2: Blitz with a Diffuser – You can wait for the spray to dry naturally but to speed things up, Haug suggests blasting the spray into the hair with Lable.m’s Tourmaline Hair Dryer and Magic Diffuser. He recommends using the fingers to give a parting to one side and pushing the hair away from the face.
Step 3: Use Silver Grips – Once the hair is dry, Haug recommends using some silver hair section clips. The clips are not essential but can be placed randomly under the hair to keep it in place. Men with longer hair could try Wilko’s Silver Section Clips because they can hold large sections of hair during styling.
Step 4: Spritz Hairspray – The final step is to finish the look with some hairspray. Haug suggests using a small amount of Label.M’s Hold & Gloss Spray to give the hair a tiny bit of hold and separation. The spray offers a firm and flexible hold that lasts all day and also shields against UV rays. Apply the spray lightly for a soft hold and more frequent spray bursts for a firmer hold.
