This role will enable you to draw on your vast knowledge of science and its application, specifically in the areas concerned with raw materials, formulation, efficacy, consumer trends, testing and desires. You will champion the use of scientific knowledge to create opportunities for innovation within new product development.

Prior experience of team motivation and leadership in a fast-paced R&D environment will be crucial, as this role will empower you to technically and functionally lead a team of research and formulation scientists in the development of personal care, home care, air care, hair care and skincare formulations.

You will act as an ambassador of knowledge using your outstanding interpersonal skills which will help you to support marketing, sales and other functions with your scientific knowledge and passion for product. You must be comfortable analysing data and presenting to internal and external partners.

Having already worked with personal care products you will have a great understanding of consumer behaviour and needs, as well as a robust understanding of the standards and regulations that the global market requires. This familiarity with the market will enable you to think ambitiously, to challenge concepts and critique published data, developing award winning product.

You will be a driven ambitious leader; able to think strategically and logically, with outstanding organisational skills, the ability to prioritise tasks in a rapidly changing environment whilst retaining a sense of attention to detail.
