Working within a global business, you will be responsible for the development of innovative packaging solutions that are fit for purpose and meet the brief’s aesthetical and functional requirements, on time and within budget.

With your technical expertise this role will allow you to become a crucial element in the NPD pipeline. You will consistently provide packaging expertise from the initial brief to first production, briefing the brand team on potential risks and challenges to delivery and working to ensure alignment of packaging development with overall project targets.

You have the knowledge and ability to take a concept idea, evaluate the capabilities of packaging suppliers to find the right one for the project, and oversee the development of the packaging through to production. You will liaise with production teams to ensure alignment of the packaging with the assembly of the product, prioritising brand expectations, sustainability, and efficiency.

Using your excellent communication skills and your ability to resolve and drive, you will build strong relationships with packaging suppliers that will enable you to gain early access to new developments and technologies in the packaging world. You will agree on packaging standards with suppliers, ensure these are communicated to the brand teams, and personally oversee the quality of the packaging delivered.

We are looking for an innovative, focused, and organised packaging engineer. Someone with both the experience and attention to detail to ensure the delivery of packaging in line with brand and business objectives.
