2022 SALARY SURVEY AND INDUSTRY REPORT

We are delighted to share our annual Salary Survey and Industry Report, canvassing views and opinions across the beauty, cosmetics and personal care industry.

We’d like to thank our industry friends and colleagues for taking the time to participate.

The Beauty & Personal Care market is one of the fastest growing consumer markets, driven in particular by the cosmetics and skincare segments. Global revenue is predicted to amount to £421.4bn in 2022, with the UK accounting for £12.9bn. In 2022, 25.4% of Global Beauty & Personal Care revenue will be generated through online sales. In the UK, that rises to a record-busting 40.5% (source: Statista.com).

This strong growth is driven by a generational shift, with young consumers entering the market. It is reinforced by social media, internationality, and ecommerce, all of which have a lasting effect on buying behaviour in the beauty industry. Trends spread quickly around the world, regularly changing people’s daily beauty and care routines.

A source of constant inspiration and continual innovation, the industry generates passion and enthusiasm. Once in the industry, loyalty levels are high. 76% of our respondents have worked in the industry for six years or more.
