2022 BEAUTY ADVENT CALENDARS
It’s that time of year again! With December upon us, the Arthur Edward team has been choosing their favourites from this year’s beauty advent calendars.
It seems there are more to choose from every year, and Glamour magazine listed a record-breaking find 63 beauty advent calendars, across makeup, skincare, fragrance and haircare.
While we all love the advent calendar concept, some of the AE team have decided not to indulge any more. They seem at odds with the changes brands and consumers have made to reduce excess packaging and increase sustainability.
Here are a few of the team’s favourites:
Sephora Advent Calendar 2022

“I love the Sephora advent calendar! It has some great, well-known brands and I love the mix of products across different categories – skincare, haircare, colour cosmetics… and even a full size NEOM candle!
I already use the Elemis and have wanted to try Medik8 Hydr8 for ages. Philip Kingsley Elasticizer, Omorovicza Deep Cleansing Mask and the Nails Inc nail polish will get me New Year’s Eve ready. And I’ve heard so much recently about Augustinus Bader that I can’t wait to sample The Cream.”
Lush Advent Calendar 2022

“The Lush advent calendar is my pick. Having spent 2 years fighting to get my son Gray over his fear of the bath, we used their kids’ rainbow bath colouring set to help. Plus who doesn’t like a relaxing bath with a nice bath bomb?!”
Lush has addressed concerns about packaging by using recycled board and paper. The ribbon is recycled polyester made from recycled drinks bottles. That alone makes it a favourite with some of the team.
LookFantastic Advent Calendar 2022

“My choice is the Lookfantastic advent calendar. I’ve seen it advertised and I’m intrigued by the variety of products – some full-size too! – in the calendar.”
This set is amazing value at only £75 (down from £95), with a value of over £500. Unusually for an advent calendar, it contains 26 products! And gorgeous brands such as Zelens, Rodial and Emma Hardie.
UpCircle Beauty Advent Calendar 2022

UpCircle have taken a bold new direction with their advent calendar contents. It contains twelve brand new, limited-edition products. They will use customers’ feedback to decide what to bring into the range next year. Very clever!
